Google To Release Fix For Wi-Fi Crash Bug on Cast Devices Today
The Cyberspace has recently been flooded with reports of Google's premium Home Max smart speaker (besides as other Cast-enabled Google devices) crashing the Wi-Fi connections for users repeatedly. The search giant has acknowledged the issue, giving an explanation and announcing that a fix will exist released today itself.
If you weren't aware of this effect yet, let me give you some groundwork. Google's product forums recently saw an uptick in complaints almost the Home Max crashing TP-Link routers upon connectedness. It was later found that the upshot extended way beyond these two devices, causing crashes for Chromecast and Asus, Netgear and other routers also.
The just plausible explanation for the time being that 'Google Bandage' products were sending an insanely huge amount of traffic through the network in a short duration, thus, causing the connectedness to choke and routers crash. This had forced the users to and then shut down and restart the routers to get it up and running once over again.
But, Google has today published a completely new support page under the Device support section to shed more lite on this issue. It describes the reason for abiding Wi-Fi network crashes as under:
"People with an Android phone and a Chromecast built-in device (such as a Chromecast or Google Habitation device) on the same Wi-Fi network may feel this issue."
This ways the problem is restricted only to Google'south ecosystem and users using any Cast-enabled in tandem with iOS device won't exist facing any network crashes. But, you wouldn't have to worry for long as the search behemothic has confirmed that a fix for the annoying Wi-Fi crash issues is in the works and will be rolled out to near users today itself. It volition be delivered to affected devices via a Google Play Services update.
And as the users have been doing until date, Google too recommends rebooting the telephone and Bandage device to curb the issue. It is also a good thought to update the firmware of your Wi-Fi router to face lesser crashes until the Play Services update goes live. So, are y'all i of those unlucky people who've been facing this issue? How often do you face the crash? Allow us know in the comments downwards below.
